Let me start off by saying what another great weekend of softball this past weekend of june 27-29
I was at the Queen of Diamonds PGF in Naperville IL this weekend and enjoyed so great softball, 60 teams combined in the 16u and 18u level, some great looking teams,
congrats to ILChill Gold (Gerry Q) for the taking 1st place on the 18u level, I had the chance to watch this guy coach from the bucket, its must see TV. Great coach, good job ladies.
congrats to IL Chill Edwards for taking 2nd place, must be nice to have your 2 teams in the championship game out 30 teams in the tourney .. great job
congrats to Lemont Rockers (CN) for taking 1st Place in the 16U level, this is a very good team, they played great all weekend,
congrats to Bull/Sox for coming 2nd place , they played tough all weekend , good job ladies,
now I was around all weekend and watched some great teams battle it out, at the 18u level ,teams that I watched and stood out were Taylor Made Titans Findlay's ,IL CHILL, Bartlett Silver Hawks, Nationals, IL Stars ,St Louis Gamers and IL Northern Lighting, Naperville Diamonds and Dirt devils Eitle, I didn't see all the teams so I cant comment, but all the girls played hard .
I watched some great teams battle it out, at the 16u level ,teams that I watched and stood out were Taylor Made Titans JB this team showed some heart knocking off some good comp, also Bartlett Silver Hawks, Nationals, IL Northern Lighting,Naperville Diamonds, Dirt devils Eitle,Orland Parks A's CSD played tough all weekend these girl can play , IL power, Nationals, Mizuno Hawks Judge played tough, Minnesota Force showed some heart also, windmills Baer and Elk grove Heat, I didn't see all the teams so I cant comment, but all the girls played hard,
I did talk to some College coaches that were in Attendance and it always nice to hear them talk about softball tips and their programs.
I also spoke to Venus Taylor of Taylor made, its nice to talk softball with someone with so much knowledge , this Girl has so much passion for the game it was funny to see her jumping up and down cheering her team on, don't see that to often ..
Congrats to IL sparks for winning the Tinley Park Tourney, these girls are on a roll!!! good luck ladies you guys are showing off IL well,
good luck to all the teams out in Colorado this week, play your hearts out and leave it on the field. control what you can , and don't worry about what you cant control!!
IL teams will be all over in different states this weekend ,,good luck ladies , be blessed.
