Another great weekend in ILsoftball, congrats to all the winners this past weekend , and to all the girls who got some looks infront of the college coaches, I was at the Sparks exposure and saw tons of coaches and spoke to a few. Also I hear the Didi memorial Exposure went well too , they always to a great job.
College coaches are looking for all kind of kids to plug into there program, they are looking as early as 2019's which is really crazy to me for some one to verbal that early , not really knowing if the coach will even be there the following year, and are you really putting more pressure on the kid to perform just to keep the scholarship? not my choice to make ,it just a thought.
this week we have some Nationals starting , we have the Midwest PGF in St Charles and Elgin, thanks to Dave Betcher for always putting on a great tournament, some of the action starts on Tuesday with the open ceremonies and pool games starting on Weds, seems to be a great weekend for some softball, then we have the Huntington PGF this week going on also , good luck to all our teams attending.
With a new season coming up and tryouts there is always change, I feel change can be a good thing for people .
So here are some confirm facts, (not Rumors)
Mike Batts formally from the Lemont Rockers will be coaching for The Taylor Made Titians 18U team, Mike is a Great Guy and knows the game very well, Venus landing a keeper with Batts, good luck to him, he will do well.
Laura Harms will be coaching the Beverley Bandits 14u team next year, she is very exciting and still will be working with The Legends program, I wish her well and know she will do well.
Sarah and Christina Douglas (twins) from the Orland Park A's will be retiring after this season, they are very great coaches I wish them well..
Richie C ,(Lemont Rockers) will be taking a break from softball for the family Life, Aint nothing wrong with that!! nice move Richie, I wish you well.
tons of stuff going on , I feel like a side line reporter LOL, but its all good!!
tell your Daughter you love her no matter what happens.
for me, I have this thing I do with my son and daughter before a every game, can be on the phone or in person or even a text, its called a prayer. very simple its takes a minute but will last forever..
be safe and make a difference.. be you and only you! ,,
