Please find attached information on our upcoming Lake Land College Softball Skills Evaluation/Recruiting Workshop. People in the past have found it very informative and helpful with learning more about the recruiting process and where they stand in that process. With the information, we will be going over and handing out, you will find it is as much for parents and coaches as it is for the players. All players who attend will be receiving Travel Batting Tee’s and practice bat. You can also find information on our upcoming Softball Skills Evaluation/Recruiting Workshop on the Lake Land College Athletic web site under softball camps.
Now answer this question, what do the following players have in common?

The answer: not one of them had a scholarship offer from any NCAA D1 softball program out of high school. In fact, all these players had little to no college softball scholarship offers of any kind. However, they all had something else in common. They were all excellent athletes with a true passion for the game who I recruited to play at Lake Land College. Working really, really hard on and OFF the field they attain team and individual successes, while using the junior college system to keep their dream of playing NCAA softball alive.
Players who come to Lake Land College must have discipline, strong work ethic and be willing to make satisfices. This is what one LLC players told a player attending our recruiting workshop last year about LLC softball players “All the players here at Lake Land College are highly driven individuals who not only want to be the best player and leader they can be but more importantly, they want to be the best person they can be. To be here, you’ve got to want to be here.” It’s that kind of attitude that helped our Lake Land College softball teams accomplish the following over my four years as head coach.
Overall record 189 and 36
Overall conference record 118 and 4
3 NJCAA Division One, National Tournament appearances
3 NJCAA Division One, Regional Championships
4 NJCAA Division One, Academic All-Americans Team Selections
10 NJCAA Division One, All-Americans
10 NJCAA Division One, Academic All-Americans
3 Great River Athletic Conference (GRAC) Championships
