OSEMONT, Ill. – The Chicago Bandits and Orland Youth Softball Association (OYA) announced today that they will hold tryouts for the new travel affiliate travel program on Tuesday, August 12 at Centennial Park in Orland Park.
The tryouts will be held on Field's 8 & 9 located nearest to the Metra Station. Players that are trying out are asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to their respective start time.
5 – 7 p.m. 10U Field 8 7 – 9 p.m. 14U Field 8
5 – 7 p.m. 12U Field 9 7 – 8:30 p.m. 16U Field 9
8:30 – 10 p.m. 18U Field 9

The Bandits announced late last month that they have teamed up with the Orland Youth Association for Girls Softball (OYA) to create it’s first-ever youth softball travel developmental initiative.
The partnership with the Bandits will create full-time travel teams to compete at all levels of softball. These travel players will be Affiliate members of the program and will gain exclusive access to player and coach clinics, coaching curriculum, game day experiences and competitive team training.
The primary purpose is to advance the game of softball at the youth level by providing opportunities for professional coaching and focused teaching. The Bandits' affiliate travel teams will be able to reach more players and coaches in an effort to enhance, not only the talent of the athletes, but also the growth of all athletes involved and additional playing opportunities.
These athletes will have the opportunity to represent the Orland Park Bandits on a competitive, travel team. The Orland Park Bandits will wear the official team colors and Boombah uniforms of the Chicago Bandits.
Tickets for all remaining home games, including the television games on Aug. 13 and Aug. 14, are available now by calling the Bandits office at (877) 7BANDIT or visiting www.chicagobandits.com.
