In 2015, The Illinois Vipers 14U team finished 1st in three tournaments, 2nd in two tournaments and 3rd in two tournaments. The Vipers are coached by qualified adults with no relatives on the team.

Thursday August 6 at Memorial Park 145th & Kedzie in Midlothian. 6 PM to 9 PM.

Mackensey Carter 16U Head Coach
Coach Carter graduated from Georgetown University in 2012 after a four year career pitching for the Hoyas (D1), earning Second Team All American Honors two seasons in a row. She was a three year letter winner at Mission Viejo High School, earning league MVP in both junior and senior years while leading her team to league championships in both seasons. During her senior year at Mission Viejo, she was honored as South Coast League Athlete of the Year. Coach Carter played travel softball in California as a member of Teamsmith, coached by Olympic Gold Medalist Julie Smith.
Samantha Baugh Lead Instructor
As a catcher, Coach Baugh won Academic All American Honors 2005 thru 2007at the University of Iowa. After graduation, Coach Baugh served four years as assistant coach at Central Michigan University (D1) and served as assistant coach at the University of Illinois - Chicago under Olympic Gold Medalist Michelle Venturella. At both colleges, Coach Baugh was in charge of recruiting for the softball program. Coach Baugh leads practices for both the 14U and 16U teams and serves as special assistant to the 16U team. She will consult with team members and their families regarding the college recruiting process.
Rich Morford 14U Head Coach
Coach Rich has coached travel softball teams from 12U to 16U for 22 years. Coach Rich is a Certified Epstein Batting Instructor. With Mackensey Carter as his assistant, Coach Rich's most recent 14U Viper team had three first place, two second place and two third place finishes in various PGF, ASA and NSA tournaments in the 2014/15 season.
