TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD ON OUR FIELDS, 200 NORTH WOLCOTT STREET, THORNTON, ILLINOIS 60476
(FIELDS ARE LOCATED DIRECTLY BEHIND WOLCOTT SCHOOL)
WE ARE LOCATED OUT OF THORNTON, IL WE ARE JUST 20 MINUTES FROM NORTHWEST INDIANA AND ABOUT 30 MILES SOUTH OF CHICAGO, IL
WE ARE A SECOND YEAR 16U TEAM
We are holding tryouts on August 8th from 12-3pm and again on August 9th from 2-5pm to find dedicated, driven and committed girls to round out our roster for the the 2015/2016 Season. We are also looking to fill 1 pitcher and 1 catcher spot. We are looking for experienced girls for these 2 spots. If you are interested please come to this tryout. We are a very competitive team with a coaching staff that has 10+ years of experence coaching fastpitch softball. They have your best interest at heart. They have the skill to help bring your game to the next level of competitive softball. Every girl who has played on this team has made their high school teams. Their goal is to teach you what it takes to play at the high school and college level. We have 2 of our own fields, 1 with lights and a scoreboard for night practices and scrimmage games. We scrimmage local travel teams to get in real "play" practice in. We play tournaments all year round, with practices 3 days a week along with doing conditioning. We practice outside every practice until the weather is to cold, then we move our practices into an indoor facility. We practice the entire season. We also do team bonding (pizza, mini golf, bowling, etc.) once a month so the girls can really get to know one another outside the softball field. Our theory is the more they know about each other outside of softball the better they will know and trust each other on the field. Which makes for a great team.
